Timekeeper Paper Bag Mini Album

Hi all, I just finished this gorgeous mini album and I couldn't wait to share it with you all.  Earlier this month I was lucky to receive the Timekeeper papers from Marion Smith Designs and a whole heap of metal filigree in my Creative kit from Faith Pocock Craft Studio Ltd, oh and a big stack of paperbags.   I was so inspired that I started creating straight away.

Living in Australia, it is a little hard to source the paper bags and I have been dying to try my hand at a paperbag mini album for years...and now I could.  I have used 5 of these paper bags and assembled them using Ozegran hybrid method of the hidden hinge and stack the deck. You can find the tutorial for this here.  This mini will be an upcoming tutorial, so I won't give any secrets away just yet, but here are some pictures before I started covering the mini...

And here are all the glamour shots.

Alternatively you can check this out over one my new youtube channel.  Yes I am back doing videos again, so please subscribe.

Pictorial Tutorial, - Christmas Gift File Folder Mini

Hey all.....did you know that it is only 125 days till Christmas and counting. So,  to get you all into the festive mood, I have a file folder mini album tutorial for you.   I have used the gorgeous Christmas Gift journal kit from Tsunami Rose Designs.  I love these papers and yes I know I say that about all of Daisies designs but really guys if you are over the traditional reds, golds and greens that usually depict  christmas, and you are looking for something different then these papers are it.  These are gorgeous browns, greens and blues with a hint of red thrown in.

So now for the pictorial walk through.  To create this super cute and unbelievably quick mini album you are going to need about 3 file folders.  I have used the traditional creamy manilla sort and they were the foolscap size.

Cut your file folders so that you have 3   pieces like this....

mine are 6 inches wide

then taking your first or front facing flap fold it back on itself like the image above. Do this to all 3....

Then I like to grab a ruler and bone folder and score along the edge to get a nice straight sharp crease like this.....

the fold this flap back behind itself .... like so.  Again, do this to all three.  You should now have something that looks like this....

I have chosen to use a border punch on the longer edge of each of my pages .....

Now to make the top loading pockets, you are going to run a small line of wet glue around the edge of the middle section in each of your page sets.

and gently press the edges to adhere them into place.   Do this to all three sets.  I then took my bone folder and ruler and scored the other two pockets to create a flap that I then added a punched border to.

Once you glue these pockets together you will join all your pages sets together.  However, for this mini I chose to mat all my pages and tags before gluing.  I have also inked all my edges with Tim Holtz - Walnut Stain distress ink....

The following pictures show how I covered my pages before gluing them together.

Once you have done all of your pages, it is then time to mat your tags and photo mats.  Below are some pics of my pages before I adhered them all together.

This is a what your spine should like after attaching all your pages.

and now here are all the glamour shots of the finished mini
