Postcard Blocks

Yep that's right readers, postcard blocks!  What are they you ask? Well when Rhonda listed this as a Tsunami Rose Design project, I asked myself the same thing and I was intrigued so I followed her link to this...

and I thought - these are fab!! I got to give these ago and here is my take on them

I have used Life Abloom journal kit and I've taken a couple of the postcards and resized them to fit my blocks.

I really don't have a tutorial on this. My blocks measure 2 3/4 x 4 inches and all I did was sand the blocks.  I gave one a light coat of white gesso.  I thought it might make it a bit more shabby, but it didn't really.

The other thing I did was to mist the back of my prints and roll a few layers of the paper away, again I thought it would make the print a bit transparent to allow the wood grain to show through, but it didn't.  So here they are....

I have adhered my images with some acid free white glue and than attached all my embellishments with a hot glue gun.  I hope you enjoy my spin on the "Postcard Blocks" and I hope I've inspired you to give these a go.  I reckon they would make great table decorations for weddings!

As always readers here are all the links for Tsunami Rose Designs. Please be sure to check them out.  Daisy has some really gorgeous designs on offer.

....remember to live your bliss......
