Shabby chic altered book with teaspoon

Hey everyone, today I have little something different to share with you all.  This was an idea I had and I actually thought it was kind of silly idea or a bit of a folly.  Anyways, I my good friend Faith was all for it and said I should go ahead and create it....soooooo here IT  is.....

I have taken a small little hardcover book and removed the pages.  Yes I do cringe a little - well a lot -  when I do this!! it doesn't matter how many times I do it, it never gets any easier!!

Once I had all the pages removed I created some concertina folded "faux" pages so that it could house my teaspoon

I have actually glued my teaspoon into the book using some glossy accents.  Once all of this was done I got down to the fun part and decorated the front cover.

I created some little eggs from polymer clay.  Gave them a light spritz with some Perfect Pearls Mists - Cappucino
and glued them into a "nest" made from some fibre trim and rolled cheesecloth.

I really enjoyed creating my little idea or folly.  I am now on the hunt for some more little books to create a few more.  I think they would make interesting and unique RAK gifts....

Thank you for stopping by today to check out my book.  Please leave a comment I would to know what you all think of it.  You can also see more of it over on my youtube channel....  http://youtu.be/vBv5b1a7BCY

Much love and blessings to you all
....till next time
