Sweet Sunday Share

Hi guys.....it is sweet sweet Sunday in my neck of the woods....and to top it off it is Autumn down here in Australia so the weather has turned a little cooler and wet to boot!! Sooooo I have spent my day on the lounge curled up with my hook and cottons.  This is what I have come up with.

This is my "new" flower next to my Ruffled Rolled Rose
And here are some in pretty shabby chic colours
These flowers are not small....they are between 2inches and 2 1/2 inches..
I am really loving these!!  They look gorgeous on shabby chic projects and altered items!!
This gorgeous set is heading out to a sweet scrappy friend here in Australia

Soooo along with these new flowers....my scrappy bestie Tash over on With All My Art and Soul says to me..."Kimi, do you think you could crochet some tweet little birdies?"  So I thought I would give them a go...
So the above pic was my first attempt....no beak and rather stumpy little tail :)
I then added picot to one of the trebles and created a beak!! :)

I then created teeny tiny little hearts for wings!!

As you can see these tweet little birdies are pretty tiny!!

and the are very quick to do!
before I knew it, I had some with wings and some without :)
and by the end of the evening I had created Tash a whole flock ....some are awaiting their wings ;) I have also added a picot to the tail to make it more defined and not so stumpy ;)
Thanks for stopping everyone....hope you are all enjoying your weekend where ever you are in the world.
much love and blessings
.....till next time

I don't understand how to put string on hook, let alone the words you used????
They are ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS & U r extremely clever! Seriously - have I suggested yet that you sell these? The beautiful packaging you used in yr video will just add more dollars. I would pay for them (if you were in UK of course...)
I'd soooo like to learn this craft! Hugs to u (& my JW)... C :)))
