Rustic Shabby Chic Candle Holders

Hello all, I just wanted to quickly share with my two little altered tin cans.  I found this gorgeous candle holder on pinterest and just loved it!!
Soooo I decided to rummage through all my stuff and see if I had two little tin cans just waiting to be altered and I did....
I found these two little guys just sitting there in my cupboard!!
I also dug out some raw hessian or burlap  and cut two strips about  3 1/2 inches or so and glued them to my cans with mod podge.
I then wrapped some lace, tulle around and tied the tulle in a knot.
Using a couple of my crocheted ruffle roses I layered some pearls, fibre trim; seam binding and some fine white lace to the back of the flower and then hot glued it all to tulle knot
and that was it they were done!! Easy Peasy!!
I just love em ....I think they would look great as wedding decorations if you were after that rustic shabby chic look!!

That's my quick shabby share today... thanks for stopping by!!
Till next time remember to .....

  1. What a great recycle project as well! I like your version a bit better than what you found on Pinterest too. These WOULD be pretty for a wedding! I like the crochet flower. It adds that extra touch of handmade that appeals to me. :)
