Recipe Box

Well it is that time of the week again, and I am back to share the last of my Kaisercraft Tea Party projects.  This paper really was a lot of fun to work with and very cheery. This week I have created a recipe style box that holds 6 double sided photo mats.

I constructed my recipe box using two sheets of A4 white card stock and Kaisercrafts 6.5"x6.5" Tea Party mini pad.

I covered the exterior of the recipe box with the pink side of Afternoon Tea
and the interior is lined with some cotton candy pink papers from my stash.
I also added a magnet to the flap to help keep the recipe box closed.

Once I had the outer shell constructed I cut and folded my dividers.

Using some double sided adhesive I attached white card stock to my concertina folded sides to create the compartments to house the photo mats.
I then adhered these to the front and back sections of my recipe box
Once I had my box fully constructed I hand cut some photo mats to go inside..

I have decorated the front with some of the Raspberry Tart; Icing Sugar; Rubon from the collection; Prima Rose from the mini sachet that came in my kit.  I have also used the die that Scottie Crafts sent out and some of their lace trim too. Please be sure to click the links to checkout Scottie Crafts range of dies and trims!....

I finished my recipe box off with a sweet little pink gingham bow.
Thanks for joining me...Hope your weekend is full of crafty goodness

Sweet Banner and Cupcake

Hi everyone, Today I wanted to share with you all my "Sweet" little banner and cupcake gift box.  These gorgeous papers from Kaisercrafts Tea Party Collection certainly put you in the party mood. The banner could be used for a little girls party or just some super cute room decoration.

To make this I have just used some of my scallop edged scissors to cut all the White card stock bases.  I have inked these edges in some cotton candy pink ink from my stash.  I then layered them up with the following papers with the 12x12 sheets that came in my kit.

Prima Mini Sachet  - Rose

I created the rosettes from some pink cardstock.  I cut strips 3/4" wide by 12" long and then scored them at every 1/4".
I then did the same thing to some White Card stock.
Once I had scored all my strips I glued the ends together and began to make all my rosettes

Whilst I waited for my glue to dry I then punched out some 1" circles and using the alpha stickers from the sticker sheet I spelled out the word sweet.
I then adhered these to my rosettes with my hot glue gun.
Using some contrasting ribbons from my stash I strung my banner pieces together.
My second part of this weeks project is a Cupcake gift box.  When I first saw these papers I thought straight away how cool the would look as an actual cupcake gift box.  To create this box I used my cricut and an SVG from the Happy Birthday to you collection from along with some of the leftover pieces from the banner. I edged the cupcake lid with ribbons and lace from stash.  I was going for that icing over the cupcake wrapper look!!
I have added some "sprinkles" - no cupcake is complete without sprinkles right?  So using the cute little sequins that were in my kit I "sprinkled" them about on the lid of my gift box, using glossy accents to adhere them.  But, to me, the cupcake still needed something a little extra...

.....Sooooooo I added some seam binding bows, a Spellbinders Doily and some Prima Mini Sachet Roses. Kinda like a cherry on top!!

What little girl wouldn't love a cupcake gift box?  Sooooo scrumptious!!

Well everybody I hope you have enjoyed my projects for this week!!  I had great fun making them.
Have wonderful weekend and I will see you all soon with some of my scrappiness.

Shabby Chic "Love"

Hi everyone....Well it is springtime down here in Australia and I am suffereing from allergies yet again.  Sooooo I have been totally housebound for the last couple of weeks and I am thinking I still have a few more weeks yet before I can venture back outside again.  Lucky for me I have a well stocked craft room and a hoard of papers to get through.

Just before hay fever hit and I was able to still go up town...I found this little piece of home decor in one of our discount stores.  As soon as I saw it I know what I wanted to do to it!!
Once I got it home I sanded the surface.  Even though it kinda looks like raw wood, it was more of a veneer.  After I removed some of the dust I gave it a coat of gesso.  I kept it fairly light on the back as I wanted the wood to show through and give that shabby chic slash worn look to it.
I then set about covering it with some gorgeous soft shabby papers that I have had in my stash since - well lets just say a loooonnnnngggg time lol.
I distressed the edges with a pair of scissors and then started adding all the yummy embellishments .... bling
....and flowers.  Before I knew it I was absorbed in the process or in the zone!!
Here are some close ups of the finished piece....I just love soft and shabby and feminine!!

You can also see this project on my youtube channel along with a  couple of little bonus projects I managed to do at the same time.  Please stop by my channel and leave a comment. I love to hear what all think.
I will be back real soon with some more projects.  You could say I have been on a bit of creative spree
Thanks for stopping by....

♥Sweet Love♥

Hello everyone,  I hope you are all having a great week so far. Mine has been super busy and very creative I have so many project to share with you all . First one is  my super cute and very PINK!! mini album.  I have had this concertina mini stashed away in my supplies that I was hoarding - did I say hoarding??/ Oh no I meant waiting  for that "special" or "just right" project and I thought that these beautiful papers from Kaisercrafts "tea Party" were absolutely perfect for it.  This was a super quick mini to make and this collection is so bright and cheery, ideal for those spring and summer projects.   The supplies I used were:-

ribbons laces and seam binding from my stash.

I have trimmed and layered up all the papers to 5 7/8ths and  where I have double matted,  the inner layer measured approximately 1/4" smaller.  I love to layer my papers.  It really makes the pages pop!! Once I had all my papers adhered down.  It was time to get to the fun part - EMBELLISHING!!! Kaisercraft have some great matching collectibles and rubons....the hardest part was choosing which ones to use and which ones to save for some of my other projects.  I have almost the whole 6.5" x 6.5" paper pad on this mini, including the diecuts that are found in the back.
