Prima "Love" Mini album

Hi everyone, I just wanted to share what I have been working on this week.  We are definitely heading in to winter here in my neck of the woods.  Days are either cold or wet or both!1  So I am in my craft room more. Gotta love that!!

Sometime last year I stumbled across a french blog, don't ask me how I got there. You know how it is? Start at Pinterest and you could end up any my case however it was a blog in France.  I found this cute little mini.  I was first attracted by it's colour - pink - of course lol.  Then I was really intrigued with how it was made.  Google now has a translator, but for some reason the directions to make this mini weren't being translated.  So I made this using the diagrams and pictures.  I also changed it up a little bit by closing the box or draw in.  Here is a link to the original blog post and here are the pics to my take on this mini.

Scrap It Girl is having a mini album challenge!! Wooo hooo do you know how rare it is to find challenges like this?  So I have entered this into it.  Please go check her out .... Kimberley has an awesome blog and great monthly challenges.   For the whole month of August she is having a mini album challenge...please be sure to check it out!! You can find the Challenge here:
I have used a mix of Prima AnnaLee and Madeline Paper pads.  I tried so hard to keep it "flat" but it still got too thick and lumpy.  It is a bit of a struggle to slide it in and out of it's little box/drawer.  I am at a bit of a loss as to what to say about it....maybe if you have any questions you could email me or leave a comment. I will let the pics do the talking for me.

You can also find it here on youtube:

Mixed Media Postcard and GIVEAWAY

Hey guys sorry if this sounding a little rushed. I am really pushed for time, but I have to try and get this post up before my youtube video finishes loading.....eeeek!!  Talk about pressure....  Not to mention as I write this it is getting later and later and much for Sunday night in front of the tv, crocheting flowers!!!

Ok this better make that more this afternoon!! I have worked on creating 7 postcards.  I started my prototype on Friday night whilst Faith and I were on OOVOO cyber-scrapping.  Let me see ....  I am so flustered at the moment I am not sure where to begin!!! arrrrrrrrrrrrrggggghhhhh

Soooooooooooo Firstly I printed some vintage images onto fabric.... homemade printable calico (if you want to know how leave a comment and I will do a tutorial for it.).  Secondly I printed an image onto tissue this technique!! Again if you would like to know how I did this leave me a comment and I will do a tutorial for it too.....  I guess I will let the pics I managed to take - when I remembered - do more of the talking for me now....with some added captions.....

My bases for the postcards were the chipboard backs of some of my paper pads....Perfect thickness!!
Chipboard bases

Kaisercraft "Pretty Pink" acrylic paint

One thin coat dry brushed on

Gesso and mod podge added

Tissue Paper Print layered on top

Kaisercraft "Postmarks" Stamp set

Stamped layer

Tim Holtz "Black Soot" Distress Ink

Inked edges

This is where I got into the "zone" and was totally immersed in creating and once again forgot to take pics for you guys.....I am so sorry!!

Finished Postcard!! youtube video is up!!  You can come watch me make this on my channel

I have two of these left over so I am having a little giveaway.  If you would like to receive one of these all you have to do is, leave a comment here and on my youtube a follower/subscriber in both places.  Two names will be chosen from on Sunday 2nd June Australian Eastern Standard Time.    Winners will be announced here and on youtube.

Last, but not least, I also created a few art tiles - aka inchies - for a swap at Artistic Creationz.  I have made 4 sets of these.  I have used really thick chipboard....pinched it from the back of my sons art journal (shhhhhhhh don't tell him). Stamped the images with black stazon and coated them in a nice thick coat of glossy accents!!

Sorry for sounding so rushed....hope you enjoy my vid....please leave a comment..let me know what you think.

Millie's Garden Flip Mini Album

Hello everyone.  Well the weather down here has turned from the beautiful glorious Autumn days to wet, cold and miserable.  It has been this way for more than a week now.....and the view from my craft room went from this

to this.........

It may not look it, but it is very bleak and cold.  Just perfect for hibernating in my scrap room and creating.
So whilst it has done nothing but rain for the last week and I half.....I have done nothing but scrap, scrap, scrap!!  Oh and a bit of sleeping here and there.....some housework and the a bit of time chatting!! No better make that a lot of time chatting hey Faith and Caroline!!

This mini is a flip mini, made to open vertically.  The papers I have used for this are produced by Grant Archival .  You can find them at Grant Studio Design  and at facebook Grant Studios.  This paper is from Grace Taylor's collection "Millies Garden".... I just loved them!!  I have tried to use them up as much as possible by making tags, flowers and pockets from it all.  I have embellished with a few stickers, Journalling cards and note cards..... So here are the pics....sorry about there being so many, not the easiest mini album to photograph !!

Also have you heard?  Scrap It Girl is having a mini album challenge!! Wooo hooo do you know how rare it is to find challenges like this?  So I have entered this into it.  Please go check her out .... Kimberley has an awesome blog and great monthly challenges.   For the whole month of August she is having a mini album awesome is that?? ...please be sure to check her blog out!! You can find the Challenge here:
