Just Some Ramblings

Hey everyone....well I am back again ...... just wanted to share some of smaller creations that I have managed to do whilst I was MIA.....

Where to start???  I didn't realise I had taken so many pictures :).....So this post will be VERY picture heavy. Sorry!!

First up is my little Valentine themed Altered Domino Book.  This was a Mojo Challenge hosted by Chelle over on Scrappers Obsessionz Facebook group.... For my little domino book I have used some tissue paper which I stamped with a music stamp....then dyed it with alcohol inks.... Adirondack - Red Pepper. I have used a vintage image printed off the net, some bling, a stick pin; small mulberry paper rose; seam binding and some scraps from one of the Tim Holtz paper stacks.
<===This is what it looks like from behind.....and the image on the right hand side is the inner "page/s"...and below is what it looks like all closed up....such a cute little project and it certainly kicked started my mojo!!

Our next Mojo Challenge was hosted by yours truly and sticking with the Valentine/Love theme challenged everyone to alter a puzzle piece.  There were no real "rules" to follow and the puzzle piece could any size.  This is how mine turned out!!

I then ..... at the very last minute.....put my hand to join a Circle Journal about put the pressure on myself!! I had a VERY short time to produce a circle journal.  My theme - as you can tell from the title - was "Scrap Your Town".  It is a paper bag album and each "page" comes with a passport for the participant to fill in.

This is the inside of the front cover and these are the passport pages.  I have used Kaisercraft's "Check In" paper collection....Loved this so much that I am on the prowl for some more of it!!

Above is my "Welcome" page and below is the sign - in or "rules" pages
Below is the back of my pages and the paper bags all filled with pamphlets and sourvenirs from my town for everyone.  Like a little giftie ;) The very last pic down there is the back cover.  I can't wait to get this back and learn all about my Scrappy friends and where they live....

My next big piccie share is another Mojo Challenge.....this time hosted by Jeanette (ScrappinHappyxo).  Jeanette challenged us to alter a tp roll to create a spool.  I used a couple of old mini cd's that I had tucked away in my stash and the Graphic 45 "Once Upon A Springtime" Paper collection....I had so much fun with this....lotsa fussy cutting!!

.....and yes this is another batch of photos....this time showing my current and ongoing obsession with altering matchboxes. These are like little shrines and I just love can put whatever you like inside.  This one is heading out to a friend who loves the vintage style.  Inside I have included a feather; a little bottle of glitter; a shell and a couple charms - a key and locket

I enjoyed making this one so much that I started another.....and it is still a work in progress....I have others planned too....Just love them that much ;)

Another new passion of mine has been playing around with my sprays......trying my hand at more "art" type stuff.  In the hope that one day day..... I may just get brave enough to have a go at those wonderful art journals everyone is doing!!  But we'll see.....Here is tag I created using tissue paper and layering over chipboard pieces; glimmermists; Dylusions Perfect Pearls sprays, some paint, some seed beads, metallic inks and metallic embossing powder

I have been saving some cans.....those pull tab or top cans...with the idea to alter them into a "gift can" filled with goodies for the lucky recipient....Well so far I have only been successful in actually altering one :/ and it was a bit of a learning curve!! But here are the pics to tell the story lol

Are you sick of me yet???? Are you ready for some more???  I am nearly done....I promise!! :)  I enjoyed messing about with my sprays n paints so much that I "made" this paper from some tissue paper that was used as stuffing in a new handbag...yep I save everrrrything!! I then used this paper on a Circle Journal entry and did my very first attempt at art journalling.  Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it!!

Made my own "texture paste" with ingredients I had available to me.....I think it turned out really well....very "texturised" lol that even a word??? Hope so!! :/

This was the completed layout.....fairly simple...but still lotsa fun and I am slowly venturing into new creative zones.

So, as promised...we are finally coming to the end of my somewhat creative summer.....Although I have to admit to spending more time outside in the sun playing than in my craft room.  My last project share with you all is going to be an ongoing (and even slooooowwwww) project as I have decided to "scrap" a wedding album for my stepson and his lovely wife. This is my progress so far..... see what I mean about a sloooowwww project lol.  I am not that "great" at doing 12x12 layouts. Even tho' that is where I got my love of scrapping from I tend to spend most of my scrapping time doing more papercraft and altering nowadays...

Well if you have made it all the way to the end...a big resounding "THANK YOU" for bearing with me....
I would love to say I will be back soon, buuuuuut I doubt that.  I have a new found busy life in the "real world" which leaves me little time for crafting and the "cyber world".  I want to thank all of you who stop by regularly .....I appreciate your support.
