Mothers Day Blog hop

The Pride is on the prowl once again...this time we are pouncing and prowling in celebration of Mothers Day...which is just around the corner.  This month we were to create or alter a box....any box. It could be any size and the only stipulation our Den mother had was to use the word "Mother or Mum" somewhere on our projects.  Sooooooo here is my box for you all to paw over ;) I have used Echo Parks "Victorian Gardens" collection...... OMG I looooooooooooooooove this paper it was just so pretty and it made creating this box a purrrrrrrrrr-leasure.  I have been hoarding it for such a long time and I thought it was high time that I started using up some my "favourites".

Here I have used  a lovely pink "bauble" type bead with a couple of bead caps to make a handle.  I have layered some lace flower pieces behind it.

Close up on the flower cluster and some of the lace details
A well as one of my crocheted flower sprays.

Here I have tucked in one of my little crocheted rose buds....these are so super cute!!
                                                  and blends in  purrrrrrr-fectly

I have lined the interior with some more from the collection and used one of the gorgeous rose stickers, which I tucked behind one Va's (bianca4430 on youtube) beautiful pink flowers.  I have tucked in a chipboard tag that reads...

" A Mother is she who can take the
place of others, but whose place no-one
                                                   else can take"

Have you ever got to the end of a project and was kinda disappointed that the creative journey was coming to an end?  Well that is how I felt with this project...the paper was just so inspiring and so pretty that I decided to use some of the scraps up on this little post it note holder/box.   I took the lid from a paper mache box...you know the ones that you can find in your cheap shops?  I coated it in some gesso and ..... well ......how do you say it?..... vwala ;)

And last but not least is this gorgous little card.  I found one very similar to this on pinterest and love it so much that I had to lift it.  Of course now that I want to link it....I find that I never pinned!!! DOH!!!

Another long post huh?   I tried to keep it short n sweet.....but I tend purrrrr - I mean ramble alot!!  Thanks for prowling with me...please pounce on over to the other Dens of scrappiness to see what they have created. Beginning with ......

Kimi (you are here)

To all the Mums out there a big ROOOOOAAAAAARRRR for Mothers Day.  I hope you are pampered and spoiled on the day.....

Once again a big rooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrr for prowling and pouncing with us ..... hope you enjoyed your time with us and we have inspired you.....
