Millie's Garden Flip Mini Album

Hello everyone.  Well the weather down here has turned from the beautiful glorious Autumn days to wet, cold and miserable.  It has been this way for more than a week now.....and the view from my craft room went from this

to this.........

It may not look it, but it is very bleak and cold.  Just perfect for hibernating in my scrap room and creating.
So whilst it has done nothing but rain for the last week and I half.....I have done nothing but scrap, scrap, scrap!!  Oh and a bit of sleeping here and there.....some housework and the a bit of time chatting!! No better make that a lot of time chatting hey Faith and Caroline!!

This mini is a flip mini, made to open vertically.  The papers I have used for this are produced by Grant Archival .  You can find them at Grant Studio Design  and at facebook Grant Studios.  This paper is from Grace Taylor's collection "Millies Garden".... I just loved them!!  I have tried to use them up as much as possible by making tags, flowers and pockets from it all.  I have embellished with a few stickers, Journalling cards and note cards..... So here are the pics....sorry about there being so many, not the easiest mini album to photograph !!

Also have you heard?  Scrap It Girl is having a mini album challenge!! Wooo hooo do you know how rare it is to find challenges like this?  So I have entered this into it.  Please go check her out .... Kimberley has an awesome blog and great monthly challenges.   For the whole month of August she is having a mini album challenge..how awesome is that?? ...please be sure to check her blog out!! You can find the Challenge here:

Front flap or "cover"

All stretched out

Banner made from scraps

Glossy accents on some of the finer details

Inside front flap

This is mini was divided up into three main sections.  The first section is the pictured above with a pocket and two double sided photo mats.  Then the middle or second section pictured below has a "mini" version of a gatefold or gatefold pages.  These pages have lots of place to put photo's and journalling

Then the third section of the flip out mini house a small booklet which I have bound with my zutter
and attached to the back of the last flap with a piece of
cardstock 1 1/2 inches wide and covered with paper so that it blends in.
Each tab or page in this booklet has more photo mats and journalling spots.

I have a youtube vid up  that explains and shows this so much better than what I can with photographs here.  Please go check it out, leave a comment or even become a subbie. You can find me at http://www.youtube.com/user/kimibee09

Thanks again for stopping by.  I really do appreciate you taking the time to read!

  6. Hi

I'm a brand new memner of the google group Cardmaking Heaven and saw your post there.

Love all the pages in your mini album - I like looking at the hidey places for tags and journalling etc - and you've provided plenty. Really colourful and love all of your paper choices and embellishments.

    TFS
