*•-:¦:-•:*'It's Halloween'*:•-:¦:-•*

Hey there everyone and welcome to our ghoulishly ghostly Halloween blog hop.  The pride has been feverishly and fervently crafting away in their dens of scrappiness to bring you all some devil-iscious designs to inspire you all to create some great trick or treat gifts for the season.  Please forgive this Aussie Lioness as she struggles with some of the Halloween terminology....we don’t celebrate Halloween down here and it is challenging for me to get in the ghoulishly ghastly mood.  BUT it was not hard for me to play with paper and create for it!  Especially when those papers are from Graphic 45.  Without any further aboooooo....oops I mean ado here are my "spooktacular" creations for you all to sink your teeth into!

I have to admit that this Mad Hatters top hat was somewhat of a headache....lol.....pardon the pun for me this month.....It took many hours and much hair pulling to work out how to resize it so that it cut out at about A4 size and not 12x12.....but I am totally wrapt with the result and I love it to bits!!

This is an altered small disposable coffee cup from McDonalds....I recently saw one of these over on youtube.  I also wanted to alter the lid and had such grand plans for it. However, once I painted the cup with black acrylic paint the lid no longer fitted...so I quickly had to rethink it and came up with a coiled wire handle "witch" transformed it into a a bucket - a trick or treat bucket.

This little project was one of my PHD's....Projects Half Done that was filed away in my UFO Un-Finished Objects basket.  So I thought that this would be the perfect opportunity for me to pull them out and finish them off.

This month Elsa challenged us to make a slider card.....now I am not much of a cardmaker, but you can check mine out over on my youtube channel.  I created the card...then the second part of the challenge was for us to "make it ours"....So I rotated mine and made it slide "landscape" and I re-thunk mine into an "easel/slider card".

So a few of the cubs have taken up Elsa's slider card challenge and one lucky cubs project will be chosen to receive some ghoulishly goodies.  So please prowl on over to all the other dens and check out their slider cards....then once you have done that pounce on over to Elsa's and let her know which one you like the best.

This project above is my last PHD from my UFO basket...  It is a mini I started some time ago now.  Life got busy and I lost motivation and it got filed away :(  It has been sitting in my basket looking all forlorn and gathering dust....so I took it out, dusted it off and completed it.  Again you can see more of this over on my youtube channel
I hope you have enjoyed prowling and pouncing with me this month and I also hope I have inspired you to create some ghoulishly devil-iscious projects for your Halloween celebrations.  Thanks so much for stopping by please be sure to prowl on over to Suzies blog to see what she has lying in wait for you all!...If you have by chance just randomly stumbled onto my blog please join in on our Halloween festivities and start with Elsa.

Here is the Halloween Line up....

Once again thank you all for joining me on this months "spooktacular" prowl
remember.....Rooooaaaaaarrr with Pride

Running out of weekend

My weekend has gone by so fast...I feel like I accomplished very little.  It is spring here on my side of the pond and with it comes hay fever so I am under house arrest for the next few weeks.  Lucky for me I have a well stocked craft room to keep my hands and mind busy!!  I wanted to test out my rosebud pattern that I had floating around in my head.....and they look something like this.

So I have created a "small" and a "large" rosebud, by using different sized crochet threads.  The one on the left is done in a 3-4ply thread and the is #8 crochet cotton

I also made these 5 petal daisies, well I call em daisies...

Armed with my crochet buds n daisies I decided to try making a flower spray or two....I saw these sprays over at IAMROSES and was totally inspired to go make some.  Here are my attempts with the limited supplies I had on hand...I have used some of my crochet flowers, green silk ribbon, some florist wire that I managed to find at the cheap shop in my town and some stamen from my flower stash.  I sure hope my take on the flower sprays

Now I am off to buy some more supplies....like stamen...florist tape....wire.....leaves.....mmmmm lets see what else???

Thank you all so much for looking...PLEASSE please leave a comment I really would love some feedback on these.....hugs to you all
much love and blessings

Design Team Call

Well everyone I decided to get brave and have a go at entering a design team call.....my first ever!! Talk about nervous.....I have butterflies the size of birds fluttering around in my tummy.....but here goes!!

Discount Paper Crafts are having a Design Team Call, they are after an Altered Project Designer along with a cardmaker for their Team.  Please go  take a look at their Etsy store http://www.etsy.com/shop/DiscountPaperCrafts and also their facebook page https://www.facebook.com/DiscountPaperCrafts

Soooooooooo I have submitted this cute little shabby chic collection.....

This is an everyday paper cup....one of the small sized coffee cups from McDonalds actually.  I removed the outer covering and used it as a template to cut my own.  I have used Kaisercraft "Precious Moments" Collection pad.  This is a huge pad full of really shabby chic and pretty pink papers.  I love it so much that I have used it through out the whole of my projects.   The doily that you see on the lid is one that I cut with my cricut from an SVG file.  The flowers are from a craft wholesaler down here in Australia.  They are mulberry paper flowers.  The large gardenia that you can see in the above images is one that I have sprayed with my homemade glimmermists and then twisted it whilst it was still damp.  I wanted just a little more height and dimension.  The name plate is one that I have also cut on my cricut and added some Kindyglitz - Chrystalline to it...I also did this to the doily.

This cute little spool has been painted with Kaisercrafts "Candy" pink acrylic paint.  I then sandwiched a layer of crackle medium and added a top coat of "Titanium White" acrylic paint.  Once all this dried a tore some prety pink fabric into strips and wrapped it around the centre.  I then added some mulberry paper roses; one of my stickpins; some pearl trim; tiny white trim; a sticker from the K&Company "Hannah" collection and then finally a small butterfly punch out.

These are some wooden clothespins....we used to call them dolly pegs when I was a kid!  I have painted them in the same fashion as the spool and used a small rolled ribbon rose that is backed with some pink organza ribbon.  These were super fast to work on and I had so much fun making them that I am going to do some more for stocking fillers this year!

So up above and down below lol :D is my last little altered item and it is a small paperbag.  It is one that I received in a RAK from Elsa....I have used more of those beautiful papers from Kaisercraft.  I added some shabby chic-ish stickpins to the front pocket.......

and  I created this cute little mini clipboard to go inside the bag.

More of them can be seen at youtube ....

Wish me luck??  This is so nerve wrecking!!

Thanks for dropping by and taking the time to read....
please leave me a comment....
.......I would dearly love to hear what you think of my projects....

Much love and blessings to you all
