The Pride's Fathers Day Prowl

Hey everyone out there in blogland. . . . I am back again!!  This time I have a big share with you all . . . .and a bit of a long post...better go get coffee peoples!!

Remember earlier in the week? when I hit the panic button? Wellllllll this is what I was so flustered about!!

We - the Pride - have created some early Fathers Day Cards, tags, gift ideas to inspire you all  to create something for the Father in your life!!

Soooo my creations are. . . . . . .

I have created this card using some Kraft cardstock and the Graphic 45 "A Proper Gentleman" Collection.

and this vintage pocket watch easel card

I had so much fun creating this vintage card . . . . I got the brainwave - or inspiration - whilst I was having a shower :)...strange place to be inspired I know . . . so I just had to get to and create what I saw in my minds eye  before I lost it!!  I am totally wrapt with how it turned out.  I used some black, copper and silver embossing powders to get that old metallic around the edge.  I over baked it in places to give it a bit of character and give it a rustic look.  I then added crackle accents - and lots of it - to the clockface for more of that genuine rustic feel :)  Made a small rosette using my scoreboard and added a button to the center . . . the tags are from the 12x12 paper pad; some recollections bling that Elsa sent me and I printed the sentiment out from my pc.  The clock hands are also done with the embossing powder and held in place with a some washers and a brad.  The final touch with the chain and locket pendant!!

My next two creations are . . . . .

. . . . this little altered wooden box.  This started out as one of those wooden craft boxes that you can pick up at most dollar stores and craft shops.  After giving the box a light sand, I then painted it with black acrylic paint.  Again I have used papers from the Graphic 45 ~ A Proper Gentleman collection.  I have mainly used the 8x8 pad and fussy cut the adverts from the Newspaper print that comes in their collections.

I layered all the printed papers on to black cardstock  and then adhered them to the box with double sided foam tape to give some dimension to the box.

The feet are just little wooden stoppers that I picked up from my local hardware store and the metal buttons are upholstery pins that I also found in the hardware store.  who thought I would find scrapping supplies at my   hubby's favourite tool shop lol.

I have painted and embellished the interior as well....everything has been well protected with mod podge!1 I even found a small travel shoe shine kit to go inside....completing my gift!!

. . . . . and my last creation I have to share with today is this little vertical toilet paper roll mini, but minus the toilet paper rolls

I first saw this mini over on Rj's channel...which you will find here...He then redirected his viewers to Ginger ~ aka  ~ My Sisters Scrapper where she had given a tutorial on how she put this cute lil mini together.  Ginger covered her toilet rolls, but I just used the pockets and the "Stack the Deck" hinge mehtod from Laura Denison.  As you can see I have created this using the same paper collection.  I was totally inspired by this paper and, as always, working with Graphic 45 is inspirational and my projects were quick and easy to create!!  Bev, if you are reading this, I hope you hit that, "that was easy button" for me! :)

Well everyone I would like to thank you for taking the time to stop by and read this awful long post...there is a shorter version on youtube .. which you can view here

Ok . . . now for the blog list . . . please pounce on over to see what the rest of the Pride have created for you . . . . . .

Kimi ~ you are here

Well it has been purrrrfectly pleasant pouncing and playing with you all
Remember . . . . . .

Love, love, love vintage-y anything, so what you are creating is of special interest to me. Your projects here are just amazing. I joined as a follower, as a networked blogger, but what couldn't I didn't find is a "follow by e-mail" option, which I pretty much need to do because I am old and don't remember to just check in on my artsy friends! Did I miss it?
